Welcome to Jennevere’s Round Table—a cozy corner of the realm where stories are stitched in yarn, and a little magic threads its way through every row.
Sally: The Resilient Soul of Halloween Town

If Jack is the restless dreamer of Halloween Town, then Sally is its gentle heart. Her patchwork dress, stitched together from scraps, mirrors her own resilience—pieced together, yet stronger for it. She’s resourceful, kind‑hearted, and quietly brave, always finding ways to guide Jack back on track when he’s lost in his whirlwind of ideas.
The Art of Bringing Sally to Life: A Journey in Crochet and Embroidery
Crocheting Sally was truly a labor of love. Her design required more patience than Jack’s—especially when it came to capturing the patchwork details of her dress. Each color change felt like sewing together a story, one square at a time. I went beyond the pattern’s instructions, studying stills from the film to guide my embroidery, adding extra stitched motifs to her dress so it would echo her on‑screen look. I also gave special attention to her arms and legs, layering in stitching detail so she’d carry that same pieced‑together, slightly wild charm we know and love.
Her face was another delicate challenge. I wanted her wide, thoughtful eyes to feel alive, so I carefully embroidered her lashes and mouth, making sure her expression carried that mix of sweetness and quiet determination. It was nerve‑wracking at times, but so rewarding when she finally looked back at me with that unmistakable Sally gaze.

Unveiling the Magic of Quiet Courage: Crafting Your Own Sally
What I admire most about Sally is her quiet courage. She doesn’t seek the spotlight—she simply follows her conscience, even when it means standing up to danger. Stitching her reminded me that sometimes the greatest strength is found in patience, kindness, and persistence.
If you’d like to stitch alongside me and bring your own Sally to life, you can find the same crochet book I’m using below. Every purchase through this link helps support Jennevere’s Round Table and keeps the magic flowing here.

This kit includes everything you need to crochet Jack Skellington and Sally, along with instructions to create 10 more characters and accessories.
Tomorrow, we’ll step into the shadowy lair of Halloween Town’s most notorious villain—Oogie Boogie himself.
