World's Best Spooky Blondie Treats

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1-3/4 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pecans or nut of choice coarsely chopped (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 ℉. Grease baking pan (I like to use a floured cooking spray).
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat (a quick option is to melt the butter in a microwaveable dish in the microwave).
  • Remove the butter from the heat and stir in brown sugar and vanilla.
  • Beat in the eggs until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Stir flour mixture into egg butter and brown sugar mixture just until blended.
  • Fold in pecans (optional) and then pour batter equally into each well, filling 3/4 full.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from edge comes out clean. Baker's note: Do not over-bake. Blondies will increase in firmness as they cool and settle.
  • Allow the blondies to fully cool before removing from pans.
